An Order encompasses who sent the order (the customer), what samples you will process, and what tests you will perform. To create a new order, click on Workflow, then Orders and finally + New Order.
A new page will open. Enter the Customer and click Save. This will create a new order page.
The page is then reloaded with more information and new tabs available. Scroll to the bottom of the same page and find the Samples section. Click on +Add and then New Samples.
Those buttons will become an input box where you can enter the number of samples for this order. Click on Add.
After clicking Add the new samples will be added to the table.
Note: you do not need to enter any details to create a sample.
You can also print labels from this section. To do this, click the Print Labels button and select the samples you want. Then click Print. If your label template has not been set up, please contact QBench at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can now assign tests in the section underneath samples. To do this, click Select Assay below. After this, click on Search Assays.
The select assay button will become a dropdown menu. Either use the dropdown menu or type the name of the assay you wish to perform. Click Submit.
This will open a popup window where you can choose any samples you wish to assign this assay. You can then click Assign to assign these tests to those samples.
You can also choose to assign different tests to different samples from the same page. After clicking Submit, the tests will be temporarily assigned to the samples.
The page will reload with the samples and assigned assays. However, the assays will not be saved until you click Save Tests below.
