Comments
Public Comments
When the Customer Portal is enabled, LIMS users can make Public Comments on an order. These comments:
- Are visible to all Portal Users that can view the Order Request.
- Sends an email Notification and in-app Notification to all Followers on the Order and Order Request.
Internal Comments
Internal comments are available when the Customer Portal is enabled and disabled. They serve as comments for internal LIMS users and are hidden from Customers.
Followers
What is a Follower
A Follower someone that wants to stay up-to-date on comments for an Order or Order Request. Anytime there is a new comment on an Order or Order Request that you are following, you will receive an email and an in-app notification letting you know about the new comment.
LIMS users as well as Customer Portal users can follow an Order or Order Request.
How to Follow an Order Request in the Customer Portal
- Creating an Order Request automatically adds you as a follower on the Order Request.
- Making a comment on an Order Request automatically adds you as a follower on the Order Request.
- Checking the "Receive Email Update" checkbox on the Discussions tab to become a follower on the Order Request.
How to Follow an Order in the LIMS
- Creating a new Order automatically adds you as a follower on the Order.
- Adding Users to the "Follower" field on the Order "Comments".
What Happens when I'm a Follower
Anytime there is a new comment on an Order or Order Request that you are following, you will receive an email and an in-app notification letting you know about the new comment.
