Purpose
Views are method to customize what you see on a list screen in QBench. Most of the time, this customization can only be seen by the user who created it. But there is a way to create and assign users to use a view.
Process
See below on how to setup a view that everyone in your environment can see:
- Navigate to Configuration > Application > Fields and Data Types
- Once you are in the Fields and Data Types screen, click on the tab “Global Views”.
- There you can see where you’d like to set up a view, whether it’s in the Order level, Sample level, Test level, etc.
- To add a new view, click on the button +New View on the right.
- A pop-up should appear showing all the fields that you would like to be available in the view. Lots more options when you check the Show Hidden Fields box. You can choose to hide or show any fields.
- Once you are done setting up the view, give it a name and then click Submit.
- You should be able to see the view that you have created. There are 3 icons on the right namely; Assign Users, Edit Global Order Page View, and Delete.
- The Assign Users icon gives you the option to select users that you give permission to the View you have created.
- The Edit Global Order Page View gives you the option to edit the view you have created. You can hide and show fields and edit the name.
- And then Delete allows you to delete the saved view.
