There are various ways to assign tests in QBench. Regardless of the method, you’ll need to create a Sample or chose an existing Sample to assign your Test to.
Navigate to Workflow in your top navigation bar. Go to Samples > New Sample to create a new Sample or you select All to see a list view of all of samples.
From my configured view I can see Sample IDs > customer name > any descriptive information about the sample and finally whether or not this sample has assigned Tests.
An easy way to assign tests is by checking the box for your sample or samples > clicking the Action dropdown > hover over Assign Tests and select between assigning a Test or a Panel of tests.
From the search bar that appears select one or many tests and finally click Save.
Now if we navigate to the Sample level, we can see our newly assigned test in its "NOT STARTED" status.
Another way to assign Tests is from this same Sample detail page.
Simply click Assign Assay > again chose between an Assay or Panel > select your test from the drop down list > and click Assign Assay
If you click the hyperlink “to test page” you’ll navigate to a view that can display Order Sample and Test information
You can also assign Tests from this view. Select your checkbox > click the Action dropdown > go to Samples and follow the same steps as before
In order to assign your new Tests to a Technician click the check all box > Action dropdown > hover over tests > select Edit Fields >
Select the Technician field and finally specific Technician and click Save. This action can send a Notification to the user alerting them of a newly assigned Tests To setup Notifications for the first time watch our video Setting Up Notifications.
