Orders that are placed in the QBench Customer Portal need to be approved by someone within the QBench LIMS. To do this, navigate to Workflow in the top navigation bar. Then, go to Orders and select All.
At first glance, you can identify an order that's been submitted through the Customer Portal by the exclamation points on the left hand side.
You can also filter your view by clicking the green filter icon on the right and selecting an order request status.
In this case, I only want to see newly submitted orders.
Click Submit.
You can save a filter if you'd like to come back to it with the Save new button.
You can select any one of these orders.
Within the Details page, you will have the option to either approve the order or send it back to the Customer Portal with revisions. To send back to the customer portal with revisions, do the following:
Click Revision Required.
Enter your revision notes and email recipients.
Click Confirm to approve the order.
A warning will pop up informing you this action can't be undone. Click Yes to continue.
I can choose to inform my customer their order is approved and is waiting to receive samples by checking the box, Publish to Portal, and clicking Save Order.
Another warning will ask if you're sure you want to modify an order that hasn't been received yet. Click Yes to continue.
Confirm the email recipients, and add a message if you'd like. Click Save and Send Emails.
Once these samples officially arrive at the lab, confirm the number of samples match the number indicated on the order. If you did not receive all samples, check the box next to the samples you have received and click Save Samples.
Once you have all samples accounted for, come back to this order and check the box of the remaining sample and click Save.
This action will mark the order request status as "Received", notifying the customer that all samples have successfully arrived at the lab.
If you'd like to bypass this workflow entirely, admins can auto approve orders submitted by the Customer Portal by going to Configuration > Application > Customer Portal, scrolling down to Order Requests and checking the box for it.
Select the option to automatically approve order requests when submitted through the Customer Portal.
