Click + New Order
To create an order, navigate to the Workflow tab and select + New Order.
Fill Out the Order Fields
Each order has a list of fields created by the LIMS administrator. Fill out the required Customer and Ordering Contact fields, and add emails, due dates, and special instructions - where applicable.
Click Save Order
When you have finished customizing your order settings, select Save Order.
Enter Samples by Importing a list
Importing samples will be covered in How to Import Samples
Enter Samples Manually
Enter samples manually by clicking + Create New Samples and entering in the number of samples to add.
Enter Required Sample Fields
You will see a list of fields your LIMS admin has created, you will need to fill out. Once you have done so, select Save Samples.
Assign Tests
Now that you have assigned samples, you will want to assign tests. Click on Select Assay. You may choose an individual Assay or a Panel (a group of Assays)
Search For an Assay
Search for an individual assay in the search bar in the Tests section.
Click Assign
Click Submit
Click Save
This will provide the test IDs and assign the tests a "NOT STARTED" status.
These tests are now ready to assign to a technician.
