- Under Workflow, click Datasets, and check structured or unstructured.
- Clicking on Structured allows you to either +Create New Definition or view All. Structured datasets are organized the same as Fields and Data Types. They likewise can be created in the same manner. See Fields and Data Types to see how definitions are structured.
- You can also choose to Hide or Show any fields you wish at this step.
- You can then click on Workflow, then Samples, then All. Clicking the checkbox next to a sample and choosing Fill structured dataset allows you to enter values for the dataset. See also Samples.
- Unstructured datasets work well for situations with a wide variety of samples and answers (ex. thousands of SNPs tracked on different samples). This variety of data should be in a .csv or .tsv format. QBench allows sorting from this point.
- In order to upload an Unstructured dataset, the first column must be filled with lab IDs. These are unique to samples and sources. You can only create unstructured data sets for these two data types.
- You can also Download structured and unstructured data sets for samples. Click on Workflow, then Samples, then All. Click the checkbox next to one or more samples, and click the Action button above. You can then select Dataset and choose to download either a structured or unstructured dataset.
